There is no famine in Gaza: report of the independent commission FRC

The independent expert group FRC (Famine Review Committee), which studies and assesses famine phenomena in various regions of the world and also verifies data provided by other organizations, has published a report dedicated to the situation in the Gaza Strip.

The main conclusion from the report is that, despite the severe humanitarian situation in Gaza and the high risk of famine, there is currently insufficient evidence to classify the current situation as famine. This casts doubt on the statements of the UN leadership and other international organizations and media about genocide and mass famine in Gaza.

The report notes that previous studies, such as the report by the Famine Early Warning Systems Network (FEWS NET), did not take into account commercial and private food supplies, as well as supplies from the World Food Programme (WFP). Considering the total volume of food aid, the daily caloric needs of the population of Gaza were met in April.

Although the situation in Gaza remains tense and requires coordinated humanitarian efforts and unhindered access to food supplies, statements about famine are exaggerated and sometimes based on incompetence or deliberate manipulation of data.

As reported by NEWSru.co.il, although the document was presented to UN Secretary-General António Guterres more than a week ago, it only appeared in the media the day before. Some commentators explain this discrepancy in the commission’s findings with the narrative promoted by the UN Secretary-General about Israeli crimes in the Gaza Strip.

The UN leadership refuses to recognize HAMAS as a terrorist organization, limits itself to vague condemnations of terrorist attacks, and places the responsibility for the events of October 7 on Israel, accusing it of ongoing occupation and genocide, completely ignoring the fact that Israel withdrew from the Gaza Strip in 2005, and that HAMAS, which seized power in the sector, aims to destroy the Jewish state.
