Passover: The Festival of Freedom and Unity

Passover is one of the main Jewish holidays. This year, it begins at sunset on April 22 and concludes on the evening of April 30, a period marked by particularly challenging times.

Passover is a moment to reflect on our history, recalling how our ancestors were freed from slavery and embarked on their journey to freedom. This holiday is not merely a historical event, but also a source of inspiration for our present and future.

The events of October 7 marked a turning point, starkly dividing our lives into “before” and “after”. It witnessed the most extensive killing of Jews since the Holocaust. The resurgence of anti-Semitism globally has reminded us that hatred towards Jews has not vanished; it merely lurked behind a facade of civility.

Jews around the world have awakened to a new reality, one that has laid bare our vulnerabilities and shattered any illusions. It underscores a poignant truth: the survival of our people hinges solely on our unity, with Israel at its heart.
