According to the NEWSru.co.il website, 700 million shekels have been allocated for the implementation of the program over seven years, including 34 million shekels already earmarked for this year.

As part of the program, “star” scientists at the peak of their careers will be able to receive start-up and research grants. In the first year, start-up funds of 1.5 million shekels are provided, and the total amount of support over seven years can reach 10.5 million shekels. The program plans to attract eight scientists each year.

Support measures are also provided for promising postdoctoral fellows, who can expect one-time grants for equipment purchases of 1.3 million shekels and annual subsidies of 800,000 shekels over seven years. The program intends to attract 15 scientists annually.

Moreover, it was decided to increase the budget for international scientific cooperation from 20 to 40 million shekels per year and allocate an additional 10 million shekels for organizing international conferences in Israel.
