To Plant Hope – WZO

To Plant Hope

Students of the summer ulpan from the Department Promotion for Aliyah in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina, together with their teachers and the department staff at the Jewish Agency, held a Tu B’Shvat seder. At the end of the festive ceremony, they wrote greeting letters to the people of Israel and the soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces, which they captured in a beautiful and moving presentation. Below are the photos of the presentation and the transcribed texts of the letters:

We wish that the joy of the spirit of Israel will blossom. We also know that we need to plant hope for peace and for our soldiers. Blessings and thanks. Monica and Daniel

We, the students of the summer ulpan in Argentina, wish that the State of Israel will be as strong as a tree and as beautiful as a flower. We hope that this Tu B’Shvat we will plant seeds of peace, love, hope, and life. The people of Israel live. Sarah, David, Yael, Ariel Stern

I hope we can plant many trees with the family, to continue forward in order to overcome this time. To be together. Knowing that the spirit of the people of Israel and faith are always stronger than everything. Happy holiday and the people of Israel live! Sol Hilo

Today we learned about the holiday of Tu B’Shvat. We feel love for nature. Planting trees is like planting life. The root gives strength to grow up to the heavens. Nurit Ruth Patricia Claudia, Magda
