In memory of those who died on October 7

Today, October 7th. Exactly one year ago, HAMAS militants stormed into Israeli border kibbutzim near the Gaza Strip, the cities of Sderot and Ofakim, as well as the site of the Supernova music festival. The terrorists killed everyone they encountered on their way: civilians, police officers, and soldiers. 1,200 people were killed, 251 were taken captive. 154 have been returned (including more than 30 deceased). 95 remain in captivity.

Such a mass and targeted killing of Jews was unknown to the world since the Holocaust.

Today, mourning ceremonies are being held throughout Israel. The central civilian memorial ceremony for the victims of October 7th takes place in Ganei Yehoshua Park in Tel Aviv. The start is at 19:00. The live broadcast can be watched on YouTube.

Only the relatives and close friends of the deceased and hostages are present. The ceremony is broadcast live by all Israeli TV channels and a number of foreign ones.
