More than 100 Israeli families have filed a lawsuit against UNRWA

More than a hundred families of Israeli citizens who were killed or injured in the attacks on October 7th have filed a lawsuit against the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in the District Court of New York (where the UN is registered). As reported by the website NEWSru.co.il, they accuse the agency of aiding HAMAS in the attack on Israel on October 7th and demand compensation.

The lawsuit, which spans over 150 pages, contains detailed evidence that UNRWA leaders, including senior officials, facilitated the terrorist organization HAMAS in acts of genocide against the civilian population of Israel.

According to the lawsuit, UNRWA management has transferred over a billion dollars in cash to Gaza over the last decade. Instead of directing these funds to help those in need, they were handed over to HAMAS, which used them to purchase weapons and develop terrorist infrastructure.

The plaintiffs emphasize that UNRWA provided material support to HAMAS, including granting access to its facilities in Gaza, which were used for military purposes, while the education of children in UNRWA schools took place in an atmosphere of cultivating terror and hatred towards Israel.

The lawsuit states that it does not aim to resolve the political issues of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict or the overall activities of UNRWA. The plaintiffs only seek compensation for the damage inflicted on their families as a result of UNRWA’s support for HAMAS, both in general and in the context of October 7th, in particular.

The trial is expected to attract international attention and may have implications for humanitarian aid operations in conflict zones and the legal accountability of international organizations.

A recent report prepared by the British think tank Henry Jackson Society, specializing in international politics and security research, revealed shocking evidence of how the Gaza Health Ministry, controlled by HAMAS, systematically inflates casualty data during the ongoing conflict.
