International memorial ceremony – WZO

International memorial ceremony

On Saturday, October 7, 2023, coinciding with the Jewish holiday of Simchat Torah, the Israel we had always known changed. A surprise attack by the terrorist organization Hamas claimed the lives of our friends, relatives, and loved ones on that fateful day. This day will forever be etched in our hearts and in the history of the State of Israel and the Jewish people.

Thirty days after this brutal massacre, which marked the beginning of the “Iron Swords” campaign, we will hold a special international memorial service to honour the memory of our fallen servicemen and servicewomen and those who were murdered. We will also call for the release of the captives.

The main international ceremony will be held at the National Institutions Building in Jerusalem. We invite you to hold a memorial service in your community and connect to the event, which will be live-streamed for all participating communities around the world.
