On April 19, 1943, one of the most heroic and tragic events in the history of the Holocaust began in the Warsaw Ghetto — the armed uprising of the Jewish population against the Nazi occupiers.

On July 22, 1878, in Warsaw, in an assimilated Jewish family of Goldschmidts, Henryk was born, named after his grandfather, a doctor, but who entered history as Janusz Korczak – an outstanding educator, writer, and humanist, whose life became a symbol of selflessness and love for children.

According to the organization Hillel International, in American universities for the 2024–2025 academic year, 2,334 cases of antisemitism have been recorded.
