Encouraging Aliyah

We held an Aliyah fair in New York, led by the WZO Department for the Promotion of Aliyah USA, aimed at Russian-speaking Jews who wanted to learn more about Israel and express support for the country, especially during this challenging time 🇮🇱.

The fair also featured the participation of the mother of Israeli hero Staff Sergeant Maxim Rizhkov, who fell in battle at the Nur al-Shams refugee camp at the start of the war.

In addition, several key figures from Israel came specifically to meet with the Jewish diaspora, including Yaakov Hagoel – יעקב חגואל, Chairman of the World Zionist Organization; אופיר סופר – Ofir Sofer , Minister of Aliyah and Integration; עודד פורר – Oded Forer, Chairman of the Aliyah, Integration, and Diaspora Affairs Committee; and Michal Slawny Cababia Rep of the WZO Executive in North America, Marina Rosenberg Koritny- מרינה רוזנברג קוריטני, Head of the Department, delivered a speech at the event and shared with participants:

“In the past, the people needed a state, and now, especially today, the state needs its people.”

We look forward to welcoming all Jews interested in making Aliyah to their home here in Israel
