Open lessons in Argentina

However, the work does not stop. The Department’s staff continue to use every opportunity to interact with Jewish communities, conducting events that help understand modern Israel and strengthen the connection with it.

One such format of work has been “Open Lessons” — meetings of Jewish community members with famous Israelis. These meetings allow for the discussion of important aspects of Israeli reality, inspire, and share experiences. At the end of December, two such lessons were held in Buenos Aires and Rosario, organized by the Department. They were conducted by Dr. Ricardo Nahman, director of the “Abu Kabir” forensic institute. He told the attendees about the work on identifying the victims of the terrorist attack carried out by Hamas militants on October 7, 2023.

Dr. Nahman shared not only professional details but also his personal experiences, showing that behind every number and report there are human destinies. His presentation reminded the listeners of the importance of unity and solidarity in the face of tragedies.

Marina Rosenberg Koritny, Head of the Department for the Promotion of Aliyah, noted:
“Such meetings not only strengthen the connection with Israel but also help our communities realize that they are part of a large and united family. We are proud to be able to share
