Summer in South America: work is in full swing during the holidays

While it’s winter in the Northern Hemisphere – for some, this means snow outside the window, for others, rainy days, as in Israel – summer reigns in South America. For many, this is a time for holidays, rest, and entertainment. However, the staff of the World Zionist Organization Department for the Promotion of Aliyah continue to work, creating new opportunities for Jewish youth.

At the end of December and beginning of January, a series of seminars were held in Argentina and Uruguay as part of summer camps for Jewish youth. These events became a platform for getting acquainted with Israel, discussing the future, and strengthening connections with Jewish culture. The participants were particularly attracted to the “Aliyah Orientation” project, which allows young people from the diaspora to prepare for admission to Israeli universities by taking entrance exams in their native language and in their own country.

Marina Rosenberg Koritny, Head of the Department for the Promotion of Aliyah, emphasized:
“We aim not only to help youth discover Israel but also to provide real tools for their future. Projects like ‘Aliyah Orientation’ help build bridges between the past, present, and future of our compatriots.”
