“Sheba” entered the top ten smartest hospitals in the world
The Israeli medical center “Sheba” (Tel HaShomer) has been recognized as one of the ten smartest hospitals in the world according to the international ranking Newsweek and Statista. This year, the clinic ranked 9th, moving up one position compared to last year.

What stands behind this recognition
The ranking is based on a survey of specialists and analysis of the implementation of modern technologies in medicine. It considers areas such as:
- the use of artificial intelligence and big data,
- the application of robotics in treatment and surgery,
- the development of telemedicine,
- digital platforms for managing the treatment process.
In other words, it’s about medical institutions that not only provide treatment but also shape the future of global medicine.
Israel’s Leadership
“Sheba” stands out for its active implementation of innovations: from artificial intelligence systems for diagnostics and therapy selection to new formats of patient participation in international research. The center is represented in international rankings in almost all key areas – from cardiology and oncology to neurosurgery.
Moreover, the hospital actively collaborates with universities and startups, turning Israel into one of the global centers of medical technologies.
Significance for the country
Mostly clinics from the USA, Europe, and Asia made it to the top ten global leaders. The Israeli “Sheba” is among them, confirming the high level of medicine in the country and its ability to compete with the largest global centers.
For patients, this means access to the most modern treatment methods, and for the state — strengthening Israel’s status as a country that combines advanced science, medicine, and technology.
“Sheba” being among the top ten smartest hospitals in the world is not just international recognition. It’s a symbol of the development of Israeli medicine and an example of how a small country can be among the leaders of global innovative medicine.
Comment by Marina Rosenberg-Koritny, head of the WZO Department for the Promotion of Aliyah:
“This recognition is especially valuable for us. Many new repatriates work at “Sheba” — doctors, nurses, technical staff. They brought with them experience, knowledge, and immense motivation, and today their work helps the hospital to be among the world leaders.
Each such example shows that aliyah strengthens Israel not only numerically but also qualitatively. We are proud that new Israelis become part of the team that is creating the future of medicine here, on our land.”*
