Technological innovations have radically changed healthcare. Today, telemedicine services allow patients to connect with doctors 24/7, and according to experts’ forecasts, more than 116 million people will seek virtual consultations in 2024. Advanced digital imaging, artificial intelligence, and robotics technologies help specialists identify problems faster and more accurately.

Against the backdrop of these impressive trends, Newsweek, in collaboration with Statista, a leading analytics platform, has been publishing the “World’s Best Smart Hospitals” ranking for the fourth consecutive year, evaluating the implementation of the latest medical technologies. The 2025 ranking includes 350 medical centers from 28 countries and recognizes their achievements in categories such as telemedicine, artificial intelligence, and robotics.

Sheba Medical Center, Israel’s largest hospital, entered the top ten of the world’s smartest hospitals, ranking 10th in this prestigious ranking. Experts highlighted the center’s outstanding achievements in robotics and telemedicine.

The top 10 also included eight medical centers from the USA, with Sheba and Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin (which ranked 8th) being the only non-American participants on the list.

The foundation of Sheba’s success is its innovative ARC (Accelerate, Redesign, Collaborate) platform, which brings together doctors, researchers, and startups to develop cutting-edge medical solutions. The platform helps the hospital integrate artificial intelligence into healthcare, improving the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The hospital is actively working to become the world’s first fully digital clinic based on AI.
