Nvidia is creating the largest tech park in Israel to strengthen its AI position

The world’s leading graphics processor manufacturer Nvidia plans to build a large-scale technology campus in Israel, which will become a new innovation center and significantly strengthen the company’s role in the development of artificial intelligence (AI). This ambitious project is intended not only to expand Nvidia’s presence in the country but also to make it the largest private employer in Israel.

The company has applied to acquire a land plot ranging from 7 to 12 hectares for the construction of a complex of buildings with a total area of 80 to 180 thousand square meters. For comparison, this is several times larger than the large Microsoft campus in Herzliya. The new center will become a key link in Nvidia’s global strategy for developing advanced technologies, especially in the field of AI.

Today, Nvidia’s Israeli division, which grew from the acquisition of Mellanox in 2019, has about 5,000 employees. With the implementation of the project, the company plans to double or triple its staff, surpassing Intel, which currently leads among private employers in Israel with 11,000 employees in its research centers and factory in Kiryat Gat. Notably, Nvidia is showing impressive growth: the company hires about 1,000 new specialists in Israel annually.

Nvidia, whose market capitalization reaches $3.9 trillion, remains the world’s most valuable technology company. In Israel, its activities are focused on developing chips and software for AI, including solutions for data centers, autonomous transport, and machine learning. According to information from open sources, such as posts on the X platform and media publications, Nvidia actively invests in Israeli high-tech, collaborating with local startups and universities to create an AI ecosystem. For example, in recent years, the company has supported research in deep learning and cybersecurity, strengthening Israel’s reputation as a global innovation center.

The new campus will not only symbolize Nvidia’s ambitions but also be an important step in strengthening Israel’s technological leadership, especially in the field of artificial intelligence, where the country already occupies a prominent place on the world stage.
