M.A. PROGRAM in Communication, Public Advocacy and Combating Antisemitism – WZO

M.A. PROGRAM in Communication, Public Advocacy and Combating Antisemitism

A new international MA track in Communication, Public Diplomacy, and Combating Antisemitism is established at the School of Communication, Ariel University. In these turbulent times, our goal is to educate the future generations of community activists, leaders, journalists, and other high-profile professionals who are ready to combat the challenges Jewish communities are facing worldwide. The program aims to equip the students with the most advanced tools for combating antisemitism in the media, on campus, on the Internet, and in the courtrooms. Among the courses are “Israeli and Jewish public advocacy,” “Digital propaganda and artificial intelligence,” “Antisemitism in the Middle East,” “Antisemitism on campuses,” and many more. The curriculum is designed to combine theoretical foundations, taught by leading professors, with practical and applied knowledge delivered by world-renowned policy practitioners.

The degree takes three semesters (less than one calendar year) to complete. In fall and spring semesters, studies take place once a week remotely, allowing the students to advance their careers without compromising on their current jobs. In the summer semester, the studies take place four times per week in a hybrid format: students from abroad might come to Israel physically for the entire semester, or visit the country for only two weeks instead. During these weeks, not only will regular classes take place, but also several educational visits. Eligible overseas students might receive funding for their travel to and housing in Israel, while eligible Israeli students may be entitled to tuition fee funding.
