Knesset: Repatriates will have simplified qualification verification and licensing

Good news for new repatriates. At the meeting of the Committee on Aliyah, Absorption, and Diaspora in the Knesset, a reform was approved that will facilitate the process of obtaining professional licenses for repatriates even before arriving in Israel. This initiative is based on a government decision from February 16, aimed at simplifying the recognition of qualifications for a number of professions, including accountants, engineers, electricians, architects, teachers, surveyors, investment consultants, insurance agents, and veterinarians.

Experts predict that thanks to the innovations, the Israeli labor market will be replenished with more than 15,000 specialists in the coming years. The economic effect of the reform is estimated at an additional 3.8 billion shekels for the state treasury. For the convenience of repatriates and those who are only planning to move, a special application with useful information and contacts will be developed, as well as an online platform for submitting documents.

In Israel, job fairs for new citizens are traditionally held. Soon, an event will take place where 270 Jewish doctors from North America will be able to present their professional opportunities, which will be another step towards the successful integration of repatriates.
