As reported by NEWSru.co.il, the measures were agreed upon by the ministries of aliyah and integration and labor to accelerate the professional integration of new citizens with work experience in engineering specialties from their countries of origin.

The new rules will affect professions such as architect, construction engineer, electrical engineer. Repatriates with five or more years of experience abroad will have the mandatory internship period in Israel reduced from three years to six months. In addition, they will receive a bonus of five points on the state exam.

The program will come into effect after the necessary amendments are made to the legislation.

According to forecasts, by 2025, Israel will face a shortage of about 8,000 specialists in engineering and technical fields, making the initiative particularly relevant.
