When American universities were engulfed in anti-Israel protests, many wondered: where did such hatred for the Jewish state come from? Why are students, who yesterday didn’t know where Gaza was, today chanting “From the river to the sea” and demanding the destruction of Israel.
Department for the Promotion of Aliya co-organized a special Candlelight Vigil, where hundreds of people came together in unity, offering prayers, lighting candles in memory of the lives lost, and sharing commitment to stand with Israel.
“There are more Italians in New York than in Rome, more Irish than in Dublin, and more Jews than in any city in Israel” – this phrase has long become a symbol of the unique character of America’s main metropolis.
